How to convert text to uppercase
- Type or paste your text into the Input box.

When to use uppercase
- Headings and labels on posters, buttons and signs.
- Acronyms and codes such as product SKUs, postcodes and ticket references.
- Emphasis, used sparingly: in emails and messages, whole sentences in capitals can read as shouting.
- Forms that ask for names or addresses in block capitals.
Works with every language
The converter uses your browser's Unicode rules, so accented and non-English letters convert correctly: é becomes É, ß becomes SS and ж becomes Ж. Numbers, punctuation and emoji are left unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
Will it change my formatting?
Line breaks and spacing are kept exactly as they were. Rich formatting such as bold or links is removed when you paste into a plain text box.
Can I convert back to lowercase?
Yes. Use the lowercase converter or the title case converter.
Is there a size limit?
No practical limit. Conversion happens in your browser and your text is not uploaded.
